Supply Chain Management - A Depot Perspective
COL Joe D. Dunaway |  2009-07-01 |  Presentation

This presentation will provide a Depot Commander's perspective of supply chain management. It will explore the role that the organic depots play in the Class IX supply chain, the volume of work conducted on an annual basis, the mechanics of forecasting future workload, the challenges of synchronizing the repair program production schedules with the National Inventory Control Point's replenishment requirements and the challenges being faced in transferring to an SAP‐based business management system (the Logistics Modernization Program). We will also examine the depot's capabilities and the challenges associated with ensuring that the depot is modernized, equipped and capable of handling emerging technologies planned for future Army systems.
